Terms of Service

The Slot Plug monitors the public online booking pages of independent stylists and sends you an alert when new availability (such as a cancellation) appears for a stylist you have chosen to watch. That is the whole of the service: we tell you when a slot opens up.

We do not take bookings, hold appointments, take payment for appointments, or act as an agent for any stylist. All bookings are made by you, directly, on the stylist’s own official booking page. We cannot guarantee that a slot we alerted you to will still be available by the time you reach the stylist’s page.

The Slot Plug is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of any listed stylist, or of Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace, or any other booking provider, unless we explicitly state otherwise. Stylist names and public availability are shown only to help you find and book with them directly.

You need an account to watch a stylist. You must give an email address you control and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use The Slot Plug.

You agree not to:

• use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, stalk, or harm any stylist or other person;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours, or to disrupt or overload the service;
• resell, scrape, or systematically extract the service or its alerts, or use them to build a competing dataset;
• misrepresent your identity, including impersonating a stylist to request a removal.

Availability changes constantly and third-party booking pages can change or fail without notice. We monitor on a shared, conservative schedule and do not promise that every slot will be detected, that alerts will arrive within any particular time, or that a slot will still be free when you act on it. The Slot Plug is provided on a best-effort basis.

The Slot Plug offers a free plan and a paid Premium subscription. Premium lets you watch more stylists and use additional alert filters; it does not check any stylist more often — monitoring runs on the same schedule for everyone.

• Billing. Premium is billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. The current price and interval are shown on the pricing page before you subscribe.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your Premium features continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account returns to the free plan.
• Your statutory cancellation right (UK/EU). As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase for a refund. Because The Slot Plug is a digital service you can use immediately, by subscribing you ask us to start it right away and acknowledge that once it has begun your 14-day right to a full refund no longer applies. If you cancel within 14 days having used only part of the period, we will refund a proportionate amount for the unused part where the law requires it.
• Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable for periods you have already used. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@theslotplug.com and we will put genuine mistakes right. Nothing here affects your legal rights.

The The Slot Plug software, branding, and page design are ours or our licensors’. Stylist names, images, and availability belong to the respective stylists and providers; we display them only to help you book directly and remove them on a valid request.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Slot Plug is provided “as is” and we exclude implied warranties. We are not liable for missed or delayed alerts, for slots that fill before you book, for the acts or booking systems of any stylist or provider, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may update these terms as the service evolves; we will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes affecting paying users, give reasonable notice. You can stop using The Slot Plug and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer in another jurisdiction, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law.
